Brian is the Executive-in-Residence and Faculty member for the Sanders College of Business and Technology at the University of North Alabama, located in Florence, Alabama. As Executive-in-Residence, Brian assists with the daily operations of the college with the Dean. As a faculty member, he teaches sales and sales management. He works with the Steele Center for Professional Selling at UNA. Some responsibilities include sales partnership relations and attending student collegiate sales competitions.
 
Brian is a business executive with 32 years of experience at United Parcel Service (UPS), Atlanta, GA. Most of Brian's time at UPS was in sales training and sales management. He had the privilege of leading a team to write the blueprint and build the UPS Sales Academy. He also had curriculum responsibilities for the sales organization. He retired from UPS in February 2021 as Director of Sales.
 
Affiliations: Board of Trustees member for Barber-Scotia College (HBCU) in Concord, NC.

Erin Gillespie

Dr. Gillespie came to UNA in Fall 2018 from Elon University in Elon, NC. She received her PhD from the University of Mississippi. Her teaching interests include professional sales, strategic marketing, and promotions. Her industry experience includes pharmaceutical sales and advertising. Dr. Gillespie also founded the Women in Business student organization at UNA in Spring 2020, and she became the Director of the Steele Center for Professional Selling in January of 2023.

Karly began working at the UNA Steele Center for Professional Selling in June 2021. She received her BBA in Professional Marketing with a minor in Sales from the University of North Alabama in 2019. After graduating, she gained two years of marketing experience at a local company in the Florence-Lauderdale Industrial Park before making her way back to UNA. She enjoys working at her alma mater and seeing it continue to flourish. Her current responsibilities include planning events such as the biannual Career Summit and Speed Sell Competition, coordinating travel for the Steele Elite Sales Team to go to national sales competitions, running the Mane Benefits Program, scheduling meetings with partners, and keeping up with the daily tasks of the Steele Center. Her favorite part of the job is getting to know the brilliant students that get involved with the sales program. They are passionate about learning and growing their skills, and she loves seeing them succeed in school, at competitions, and in their careers after graduation.
